Laura Donaldson zip-wired into the world of travel at the tender age of 17. Since then she has clocked thousands of air miles of experience for some of the UK’s most well-known and trusted travel companies. For over 20 years Laura has sent clients on luxury Caribbean cruises, African wildlife safaris, arranged weddings and honeymoons to the Middle East and Indian Ocean, sent families to tour ancient wonders in Europe and North Africa and has sourced sublime five star crash pads for high spenders in some of Europe’s most prized locations.
Laura’s passion is curating complex itineraries whether for individual clients, her own family or for company execs. In recent years a side-step into the world of corporate events gave Laura an opportunity to create buoyant itineraries to the likes of Istanbul, Beijing, Dubai and Abu Dhabi where under her care companies such as BGL Group have enjoyed sailing on the Bosporus, private tours of the Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque, the glory of the Dubai 7s, the thrill of the F1 Abu Dhabi and the spectacle of the Dubai World Cup.
Her personal travel CV is impressive too, her journal littered with jaw-dropping collages of inspired itineraries to the likes of Costa Rica, Hawaii and South Africa. Her most challenging? A seven centre road trip with three children around California taking in whale watching in Monterey, soccer in LA and camping in Yosemite. Her wildest? Partying with the 109 species of mammals in Costa Rica.
If your dream is to trek within the shadow of a bubbling Volcano; enjoy the thrill of white water rafting or zip gliding through the Cloud Rainforest and live alongside lizards, then speak to Laura, her passion for travel is infectious.
Sam Galer-Rose has organised launch events and corporate conferences including travel and accommodation for journalists and clients to high end locations at home and abroad. In addition she has organised corporate travel and accommodation for groups and individuals predominantly to and within USA and Europe. However Sam’s experience in travel has been predominantly gained through travel itself. She has stayed in countless epicurean watering holes and in high lands, mainlands and on islands in over 80 locations worldwide.
Being a discerning traveller hasn’t always meant utopian stays in 5 star vibrant hotels or resort villas in Marbella, Jamaica, Dubai, Thailand, L.A. or Mexico either, because Sam thrives on the thrill of discovering the new, the unique and memorable. This obsession has taken her to organising quintessential stays in a blue shuttered Provencal farmhouse; the quiet charms of the Ryokan in Kyoto; rooms boasting terracotta-topped views of Florence; imaginative city centre bolt-holes in Paris and New York; boutique vineyard chateau near Reims; hidden hillside hangouts in Majorca and Ibiza; farm to table Masseria in Puglia and chocolate box ski lodgings with family and friends in France, Switzerland and Austria.
Sam has fed her lust for culture and history in visits to the ancient ruins of Pompeii, Ephesus, The Forum and Colosseum in Rome and the Golden Temples and countless shrines in Japan; she has witnessed sunrise before discovering the sprawling wonder of Angkor Wat in Cambodia; been awed by the air-tight living quarters of the Vietcong when crawling through the Cu Chi tunnels in Vietnam and moved beyond comprehension by the harrowing stories and unfathomable images displayed on the walls and artefacts at the Peace Museum in Hiroshima.
Her meticulous attention to detail in researching and curating her own adventures whether big, small or slightly off grid, has earned her a reputation amongst those who know her. She is often called upon for advice about where to go, where to stay and where to play.
